Director

Brian commenced his education in Civil and Structural Engineering at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 1991. In 1992/93 Brian decided that project experience would benefit his understanding of civil and structural engineering and this decision resulted in him travelling and living in the United States of America. While in the United States, he initially worked with a consulting civil and structural engineering company and thereafter on a number of construction sites. This experience continued for a period of three months every summer during his college education.

He graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a First class honours degree in Civil Engineering in 1996.

Following his graduation he was employed by a leading Galway based Civil and Structural Engineering company where he gained invaluable analysis and design experience on a diverse range of commercial, industrial, residential, civil and refurbishment projects throughout Ireland.

The commencement of the construction boom in Ireland provided Brian with vast experience and exposure to many types of projects and engineering solutions in a relatively short period of time. His experience, passion and understanding of civil and structural engineering were quickly realised. In 2001 he was awarded membership and was entitled to the designation of Chartered Structural Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers, London after a successful first sitting of the institutions examination. In that same year he also became a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineers of Ireland.

In 2001 Brian co-founded Coyle Kennedy Limited which has grown to become a leading Civil and Structural Engineering Firm.
